Differences between original and replicated vehicle

Please provide a description in the space below or attached document of how the appearance of the replica vehicle will differ from that of the original vehicle. Please note which deviations were made to accommodate safety features.

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus tried to build our replica to as close to the original dimensions as possible, while following the original body, as well as engine and transmission layout, the suspension layout being independent front and rear suspension, as well as the front and rear differential layouts.
We were able to design the replica vehicle to stay within 10% of the original vehicle for the vehicle height and wheelbase.

The reason the width deviates slightly from 10% of the original vehicle width is that Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus wanted to use wider wheels and tires than the original vehicle to allow for better traction and driveability, and that by going to a slightly wider wheel and tire, we have increased the overall width by slightly over 10% of the original vehicle. It may be possible for us to keep the wider tires and wheels and slightly reduce the vehicle width, if necessary, to stay within 10% of the original vehicle.

We were able to keep the wheelbase within 2.7% of the original vehicle. The reason the overall length is longer than 10% of the original vehicle is that the original vehicle, as can be seen in the press release information above, had zero front and rear overhang. We added front and rear fuller fenders and a full front and rear bumper. This extra protection around the tires and front and rear structures was intended to allow energy absorption during a crash. We designed those structures to resemble the original vehicles, just with added crash safety features. We also added larger side mirrors to afford better visibility. 

ADDTIONAL INFORMATION
We have submitted a new file with additional information to further support our application.
Hurst manufactured and sold multiple complete production Boots vehicles for road use.
These were not kits to convert another car. These were not competition only race prototypes.  
These Boots had, for their time, state of the art technology for safety.
These Boots have a more chassis and roll cage design than at least one other replica that NHTSA has approved as a FAST ACT replica vehicle.
These Boots were sold to customers, who registered Boots for road use, and drove them on the roads.
These registrations started as early as 1968 and have continued to the present day, in California and New York.
In fact, it was us taking a friend for a ride in one of the original Boots that inspired him to purchase Myers Manx and create the wonderful new NHTSA approved FAST ACT replica Myers Max vehicles.
We have additional photographs, press, etc. to further support our application, however, for efficiency, we have included what we believe is ample proof to answer your questions and complete our application to manufacture replica Baja Boots.
