• VIN Decoder home page is updated to show Motorcycle Chassis Type data when Body Class is one of the "Motorcycle" body classes.
• Updated the vehicle image displayed on the VIN Decoder home page when the decoded Body Class is "Motorcycle - Unenclosed Three Wheeled or Open Autocycle [1 Rear Wheel]", based on the values decoded in Motorcycle Chassis Type field.
• Implemented an enhancement in vPIC Decoder to allow for the identification of clerical errors in VIN decoding output when submitted by the OEMs. With the new process, OEMs can provide NHTSA with a full list of VINs impacted by clerical errors for exempting them from returning a check digit error. Instead of returning an Error Code of 1 for these VINs ("1 - Check Digit (9th position) does not calculate properly"), the decoder will return an Error Code 0 ("0 - VIN decoded clean. Check Digit (9th position) is correct") with an additional error text that says "NOTE: Check Digit Exception - The check digit was given an exception based on data from the OEM indicating an error on production".
